Hello everyone ... PLEASE READ IN FULL ... AARS is a place where dogs in need, those that have been abused, neglected, abandoned or about to be euthanized, come and are given a second chance. At times we will accept an animal surrendered by owner, such as those preparing to pass away or to ill to care for their pet, the homeless and others in similar situations. We also reunite people with their pets. Many pets become lost or have been stolen. Every situation is different and as reputable rescue we do our due diligence in finding homes whether it is original owner of a lost or stolen pet or re-homing an unwanted animal. We follow the law and we have mandates and procedures in place to protect pet owners, our rescued animals and those that adopt our rescues. For those seeking their pets, if lost we always recommend immediate advertising through social media, pet finder, contact rescue centers and other sources, if stolen we recommend the above as well as filing a police report immediately.
When an animal comes into our care she or he is held for ten days before being placed available for adoption. At that time we do a detailed search for animals meeting said description that may be lost or stolen thus giving us the opportunity to reunite a family as well as giving a pet owner time to find us and their pet. Within that 10 days said animal is also provided with needed vet care, a healthy diet, and love. After 10 days, we will initiate basic training, rehabilitation if needed, socialization with humans and other dogs and addition vet care. After 10 days said animal is placed available for adoption so he or she can begin their new life with in a loving and responsible home
