I started working as a foster with Angel's Animal Rescue Society the summer of 2014 after my Pitt bull suddenly passed away at the age of 3. My St. Bernard was lonely so I started to foster dogs for Angel's until I found the one that fit our home. I had Tigger the boxer with me for 4 months as my first foster... I just about failed with her, she was perfect. Potty trained, never chewed anything up, I could drag her around to busy events and she behaved. Great with all people and dogs. Then came the puppies. We did and adoption event where I had 7 dogs in my home from Angel's for a few days... took them back up to Angels but kept the pup, Tux (now Tucker)... so I had Tigger and Tux... then we adopted a pup via the long route... Angel's picked up a litter of pups and sent them to Paws it Forward, where we ended up adopting Leo. So now at this point I'm up to My St. Bernard, Tigger, Tux and Leo... We get Tux adopted and in comes Roy. Mr. not so perfect. He could jump from the floors to the counter and eat out of the pots on the stove. He ate the knobs off my antique radio..... we found him a home quickly. Shortly there after Tigger found her home. Then in came puppy Ranger and following Ranger was Siam... a bossy senior guy... Rocky and a litter of 5 pups, Buddy, Kali, Joey and Stanley and I'm sure I missed a few.... Then we get to Zoe. Zoe has been with me for some time now and I'm happy to say I have officially become a foster fail. Zoe moved into our crazy home and blended with my gang. My fostering days are over as we are planning a move back to Alberta. I will remain on the board and continue to update the website answer emails and manage the FaceBook page as I can do that from anywhere. I encourage you to open your homes to a foster dog, its fun to see the different personalities come through. It also helps you figure out what you are and are NOT looking for in a family pet. We open our home and hearts to so many, Zoe just happened to successfully capture everyone's. Welcome Zoe girl, we love you.
